In an official communication dated 30th May 2024, the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has released an order pertaining to the judicial arrangements for the Baramulla court following the retirement of a key judicial officer.
Superannuation of Shri Mohammad Ashraf Malik
Shri Mohammad Ashraf Malik, who has been serving as the Principal District and Sessions Judge in Baramulla, is set to retire on the 31st of May, 2024. His retirement marks the culmination of a distinguished career in the judiciary.
Interim Judicial Arrangement
Following the superannuation of Shri Malik, it is essential to ensure that the judicial processes remain uninterrupted. To this end, the High Court has decided that the additional charge of the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Baramulla, will be temporarily undertaken by the Additional District and Sessions Judge of the same district until further orders are issued.
