In a recent administrative move, the Jammu and Kashmir Police Headquarters has announced the transfer of Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySPs). The order, numbered 732 of 2024 and dated the 2nd of July 2024, comes into immediate effect, necessitating a swift transition for the officers involved.
The notification lists the names of two DySPs who are subjected to the transfer:
- Shakir Hassan – Formerly positioned in Jammu/Srinagar, has now been assigned to the role of Deputy Superintendent of Police (Technical) at the CID Headquarters.
- Nazir Ahmad Wani – Previously serving at the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) CID Kashmir, will now be taking up responsibilities at the Assistant Director (ADO) CID Headquarters.
As per the order, both the officers, with respective Police Identification Numbers KPS205940 and MEG951699, are instructed to be relieved from their current posts forthwith to ensure a seamless transition to their new assignments.
The Jammu and Kashmir Police continues to make such adjustments to strengthen their administrative structure and ensure the efficient functioning of the police force across the region.
