The Jammu & Kashmir Police Headquarters has released an official order regarding the transfer of various inspectors within the police department. The order was issued on the 2nd of May, 2024, outlining the immediate administrative changes affecting personnel from Kashmir Zone and Armed Zone.
Transfer from Kashmir Zone to Armed Zone
The order numbered 132 of 2024 has directed the following inspectors from Kashmir Zone to report to Armed Zone for further duties:
- Inspector Gh Mohammad Rather (PID No. EXK002164)
- Inspector Azim Iqbal Khan (PID No. EXK115658)
Reassignments to Kashmir Zone
Following the above transfers, the order has also reassigned inspectors to the Kashmir Zone with immediate effect. These transfers involve:
- Inspector Khalid Sultan (PID No. ARPO26185) from Armed Zone
- Inspector Manzoor Ahmad (PID No. ARPO22649) from Armed Zone
- Inspector Ranjeet Singh (PID No. ARPO26199) from Armed Zone
- Inspector Mudarbil Ahmad (PID No. ARPO26203) from PTS(M)
Restoration and Further Instructions
Significantly, the position of Inspector initially held by S.No (04) of Para-II, who had temporarily been moved on an AWP basis from Armed Zone to PTS Manigam, has been reverted to the Armed Zone.
Salaries and allowances for the transferred inspectors are to be drawn against available vacancies of the same rank/pay level in the respective DDO setups. The concerned zonal authorities are tasked with the posting of the transferred inspectors.
Approval and Administration
The directive, issued under the approval of the DGP J&K, also notes that the lien and seniority of each inspector will remain attached to their original zones. It is expected that the inspectors will be relieved from their current postings forthwith to ensure a smooth transition to their new assignments.
This order was signed by Virinder Singh Manhas, JKPS AIG of Police (Personnel), and is set to take immediate effect from the date of the notice.
The police department has conveyed its expectation for a smooth transfer process and the maintenance of administrative efficiency throughout the period of transition.
