The Government of Jammu and Kashmir, acting on the recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee and the Jammu & Kashmir Public Service Commission, has announced the regularization of several Incharge Assistant Executive Engineers (Mechanical) as full Assistant Executive Engineers (Mechanical) in the Public Works (R&B) Department. This decision was formalized in Government Order No. 2/5 -PW(R&B) of 2024, dated 29th July 2024.
The engineers who have been promoted and regularized are listed below along with their dates of regularization:
- Joginder Singh – Date of Regularization: 01.03.2007
- Mohinder Kumar Balhotra – Date of Regularization: 01.09.2007
- Romesh Lal – Date of Regularization: 01.11.2011
- Subash Chander Sharma-I – Date of Regularization: 12.01.2017
- Itikhar Ahmad – Date of Regularization: 01.05.2021
These promotions are in the pay band of Rs. 15600-39190 with a grade pay of Rs. 5600/- (pre-revised). The order was sanctioned by Bhupinder Kumar, IAS, Secretary to the Government, and was further endorsed by several key officials within the administrative framework.
It is important to note that the regularization of these officers as Assistant Executive Engineers (Mechanical) is subject to the outcome of any petitions pending before competent courts.
