The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued a significant order regarding the temporary deputation of selected officers and officials to the Consulate General of India in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, for Haj-2024. This move comes as part of the preparations for the upcoming Haj pilgrimage, ensuring that the selected personnel, known as Khadim-Ul-Hujaj, are available to assist pilgrims during this sacred event.
Official Selection and Deputation
Following their successful selection by the Haj Committee of Jammu and Kashmir, the official sanction has been granted as per the Government Order No.1102-JK(GAD) of 2024 dated 28.05.2024 for the temporary deputation of the following individuals:
- Haziq Ali, Lab Assistant
- Afshana Yasmeen, Teacher
- Sajaad Rashid, Teacher
- Mushtaq Ahmad, Teacher
- Lubna Khan, Teacher
- Haroon Rashid, Girdawar
All the aforementioned persons are affiliated with the School Education Department, except for Haroon Rashid, the Girdawar. The deputation will have them serving the Indian Consulate in Jeddah as Khadim-Ul-Hujaj for the duration of Haj-2024.
Administrative Orders
The order further instructs that the Administrative Secretaries and Heads of Departments are to ensure that the listed officers and officials are relieved from their current duties immediately. This action will allow them to report to the Office of the Executive Officer, J&K Haj Committee, at Haj House Bemina, Srinagar.
Compliance and Formalities
The deputees must complete the requisite formalities that are prescribed for foreign deputation. This underscores the government’s commitment to an organized and seamlessly managed participation of its officers in the Haj pilgrimage.
